How Immunity Effects Weight Loss

Immunity and weight go hand in hand. If our immune system is healthy then we have all of the resources needed to cleanse, repair, and maintain balance within the body, including a healthy weight. However, if our internal system becomes out of balance, then the body will struggle and, over time, the immune system will become depleted. Being depleted, the body will no longer have the resources to maintain the delicate balance required for cleansing, repair & regeneration. When out of balance, toxicity and deficiency will develop, beginning a cycle of toxicity and deficiency that culminates in weight gain.
Deficiency
A deficiency of nutrients means that the body lacks the materials and building blocks to repair damaged cells and tissues, cleanse tissues and remove cellular waste, and to maintain healthy function. When the body lacks nutrients chronically, it will shift into survival mode and begin to store energy the only way that it knows how, it stores it in fat cells. The body will continue to store energy until the deficiency is corrected and the body shifts out of survival mode.
Correcting nutritional deficiency is more complex than simply consuming a specific vitamin or mineral. Many of the nutrients that are easily burned up in defense of the body are also required to assist assimilation and utilization of other nutrients. This means that we do not efficiently absorb nutrients. These nutrients are called receptor vitamins (though most are not vitamins but are minerals and amino acids). Receptor vitamins act as keys for the cells that transport nutrients throughout the body for use. Think of these cells like a cargo train car, they resemble a golf ball with divots covering the surface. Each divot is coded to accept a single nutrient. Each divot must be 'unlocked' to accept a nutrient, and 'locked' to transport the nutrient, then again 'unlocked' to release the nutrient at the destination for utilization. If the body is lacking in any of the receptor vitamins, the divot will either not unlock, or it will not lock. If it does not unlock, the nutrient does not get on the train. The train still leave the station, but the cargo will not be on board. When the transport arrives at the destination, there is no nutrient to be utilized, and the tissues or organ will suffer from deficiency symptoms. Similarly, if the divot does not 'lock' closed before the train leaves the station, the nutrient will not be secured on the train and will fall off of the train in transit. Upon arriving at the destination, there will be very little or none of the nutrient left to be absorbed and utilized. Both scenarios lead to deficiency which creates an environment that will retain toxins from cellular waste and environmental toxins.
Toxicity
Chronic deficiency makes it impossible for the body to effectively eliminate toxins and maintain a clean environment. When the body cannot eliminate toxins, those toxins are wrapped in a protective shield of fat tissue and stored away where they cannot cause too much damage until the body is able to eliminate them. As toxins accumulate in the body, more defensive resources are required to abate the damage that those toxins still cause even in their fatty prisons. This defense uses up resources that were already deficient, depleting the needed materials to eliminate these toxins. Continuing the cycle of deficiency and toxic build-up, and continually overworking the immune system.
A Toxic and Deficient Body Will Not Shed Excess Weight
The body will not shed excess weight if it is too toxic and has not corrected any deficiencies. In this state the body does not have the resources to eliminate the weight that serves as a reserve of energy and a source of protection. In order to re-balance the body and create an environment which will facilitate the loss of weight, we must first minimize sources of stress, correct deficiencies, and assist the body in eliminating toxins.
As we allow our bodies to rest and feed it so that nutrient levels are restored to a proper level for maintenance, we simultaneously create the environment needed to cleanse accumulated waste and toxic substances. This cleansing will result weight loss as a byproduct.
Stress Toxifies the Body
Stress is the biggest contributor to a toxic internal environment. All stresses (Physical, mental, and emotional) produce acidic ash in the body. The acidic environment strips the body of B vitamins, calcium, zinc, and other minerals and amino acids. These nutrients are necessary for healthy immunity. They are also important members of the receptor vitamin group. Because these nutrients are so important to both absorption and immune function, the loss of them facilitates the accumulation of toxins, beginning and perpetuating the cycle of deficiency and toxic accumulation.
Emotional and mental stresses are the most expensive for the body to manage. These stresses leech nutrients and energy from the body much faster than physical stresses do. Look for ways to manage these stresses so that you are able to allow your body to rest and rejuvenate.
No One Fits into a Chart
There is not a single person that fits perfectly into any chart created by the medical community to identify health. I have met individuals who met the requirements for a healthy weight, yet still exhibit many symptoms of imbalance and severe dis-ease. I have also seen individuals who are quite healthy yet fall into the obese group according to these charts. I believe these charts identify weights for individuals who have made an effort to become fit. However, there is a difference between fit and healthy. So, I have determined that weight is not the best indicator of health.
The Body Will Regulate Its Own Proper, Healthy Weight
It is better to be aware of how you feel, than what the scale says. A scale only indicates the effect that gravity is having on your body at a given time. How you feel is a better indicator of your health. As your body corrects deficiencies and eliminates toxins, the body will shed unneeded energy reserves also. The result of these balancing and cleansing activities is a loss of excess weight.
As the process of cleansing, repair and regeneration continues after deficiencies have been corrected, the body will automatically regulate its own healthy weight. As discussed previously, this healthy weight does not necessarily correspond with any chart used by the medical profession.
